Connecting to Billing Office VPN
Downloading and installing the standalone FortiCient VPN client
1) Please use this link to download the Windows VPN Client:
https://links.fortinet.com/forticlient/win/vpnagent
2) If using Chrome you can open the downloaded file by selecting downloads in the top right, then click on the executable file to run it.

(Alternatively open your download folder in windows, and click the file there)
3) Follow the prompts and accept the End user agreements to install the VPN Client.
4) Once installed, Run the "FortiClient VPN" by clicking on the shortcut located on the desktop.
5) Click the configure VPN button, and enter the following information:

6) Hit Save.
7) From the FortiClient VPN Client hit the connect button. (Or from the icon tray right click on the FortiClient VPN and hit Connect)
8) A window will open in your web browser. You may get something that says "Connection not secure". Scroll to the bottom, and select Proceed anyways.


8) On the first time connecting it may say 127.0.0.1 not responding or "Page not Found". Simply close the web page and click connect once more.
9) If you are signed into microsoft 365 already with your Nationalkidneypartners.com email address, it will automatically connect you to the VPN now. If you are not yet signed in, you will be redirected to a Microsoft page to sign in using your email credentials.
That is it! Any time in the future you need to connect, just open the VPN Client and hit connect or right click on the application in the Icon Tray and hit connect.
Troubleshooting / FAQs:
Q: When I try to sign it, I get an error that I do not have permissions.
A - Please email helpdesk@nationalkidneypartners.com - you likely do not have permission to the VPN group and will need to be added.
Q: The VPN Is stuck on Connecting
A: Please ensure you are not already connected to a different VPN Service (Like Nord, PIA, Ect.). Also your firewall or ISP may be blocking the connection. Try using another Wifi network to see if this was the issue.
